Joseph Sitarik, DO

Dr. Joseph Sitarik is board certified in general surgery and family practice and operated a private practice for 20 years. He earned his D.O. at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986, with internship and residencies throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania.

In 2010, Dr Sitarik surrendered to his own personal struggles with addiction. This focused his passions and primary purpose on treating patients who suffer with substance use disorders.

He serves as Medical Director for The Bluffs, where he lectures frequently, facilitates group therapy and promotes the use of medication-assisted treatment as adjunct only to traditional abstinence-based treatment. Prior to joining The Bluffs, Dr. Sitarik served as the Medical Director at Neil Kennedy Recovery center, where he assessed patients for placement into inpatient substance abuse treatment or the proper outpatient treatment program.

Dr. Sitarik focuses on direct patient care and enjoys sharing his extensive clinical and personal experiences to assist patients in achieving long-term recovery.
