Daniel D. Maurer

Daniel D. Maurer is an award-winning nonfiction author and nationally acclaimed speaker. He lives openly in long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. His first book, Sobriety: A Graphic Novel is a resource from Hazelden Publishing for youth and young adults seeking a new format to understand recovery. Faraway: A Suburban Boy’s Story as a Victim of Sex Trafficking is his second book, an exposé and memoir of the victim. Daniel is working on his next work to be released in late 2016 dealing with the subject of psychological resilience and its connection to spirituality. He lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota with his family.
